Independent Art Study is open studio time for tweens and teens who are strongly motivated to explore personal art and crafting projects in a focused environment. A wealth of materials and tools are available for use, as well as safe storage for personal tools, supplies, and projects in process.
Mentoring is offered to suit each artist, and can include suggestions of techniques, materials and projects to pursue. Critical feedback and portfolio development are available if desired.
Artists are expected to take care of tools and materials, and clean up their workspace by the end of each session.
Classes meet in a working artist studio in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
