Learn to make beautiful, whimsical, and practical mosaics!

Three Sundays, 1 - 4pm: 3/8*, 3/15, 3/22

* Participants should plan to attend the first session. If you need to miss 3/15 or 3/22, you can take advantage of a make-up session.
The beginning class is also available any time during Mosaic Open Studio hours, Fridays 9:00 - 12:00, as independent study. Please check in with the instructor.
The process itself is meditative and incredibly satisfying - a puzzle with no wrong answers. Experiment with a variety of techniques and materials, from classic Italian smalti to contemporary glass tile and stained glass, shattered porcelain, pebble, marble and found objects.
Each participant will have the opportunity to choose and complete a sample project, then come up with a design of their own. We’ll cover approaches for design, assembly, and grouting of interior and exterior mosaics.
