Whether you are a beginning artist or an experienced practitioner, we look forward to sharing this journey with you.

We’ll provide materials, instruction and inspiration to create two, vibrant and personal paintings over the course of the weekend. We’ll share fundamental techniques and tools for working with water-based, acrylic paints, and mixed-media collage. Along the way, we’ll indulge in a little soul-searching, plenty of color - and a lot of joy.

Who are you as an artist? What are you called to create?
How do you express the experiences and emotions that have special meaning to you?

We’ll meet in Greenwood at Nadine Smith’s plein-air paradise, and/or indoors in the Capitol Hill art studio of Karen Lewis - as weather allows.

Each day begins at 9:00 with a series of creative warm-up inquires over tea or coffee. We’ll dive deep into art making from there, breaking midday for a potluck lunch.

Participants and families are invited to join us after class Sunday afternoon for a celebratory art showing, with drinks and nibbles.

Taught by Nadine Smith and Karen Lewis
